Local Kimbolton information

A large village in Cambridgeshire, Kimbolton is well situated with easy access to the A1 motorway. The high street is very wide, reflecting the previous use as a market place, yet still includes the charming houses which were built as early as the 13th century.

Kimbolton medieval castle is one of the most notable parts of the village, as it was the final home of Catherine of Aragon, King Henry VIII’s first wife. The castle was once owned by the Dukes of Manchester but is now home to the local Kimbolton senior school, which has over 600 students attending. The preparatory school is located at the other end of the village.

Grafham Water, a local public reservoir, is situated close by and is a popular place for a range of leisure activities; ranging from cycling to water sports. The site spreads over 1500 acres.
