The Village
The popular village of Bythorn is a small hamlet of mainly detached houses surrounded by open farmland. The village has become increasingly popular in recent years, due to its proximity to the A14 giving excellent access to the fast road networks of the M1, M6 and A1, and main shopping centres at Huntingdon (approx. 12 miles east) and Kettering (approx.15 miles west). The village is in the catchment area for Nursery and Primary Schooling at Brington and Middle and Senior Schools at Hinchingbrooke which provides a school bus service. The A1 is about 8 miles South East giving excellent dual carriageway access both north and south and to the A14/M11. An excellent main line commuter train service to London’s Kings Cross is available at Huntingdon and St Neots. Cambridge is around 28 miles away. The airports of Stansted and Luton can be reached in approximately one hour.
Nearby, is the popular and historic village of Kimbolton which boasts one of the area's leading private schools, Kimbolton School, along with the well-regarded Kimbolton Primary Academy. Dominated by St. Andrew's Church at the northern end of the High Street and Kimbolton Castle to the south, the village has a wide variety of shops, a doctor's surgery, chemist and post office.
